Ftune Cream Side Effects: What to Know Before You Start
People often ask about Ftune Cream side effects before they buy, and it is a fair question to ask of any face cream. Most people use it without any problem. Still, it contains active ingredients, and no cream suits every skin. Here is what to know before you start.
1. Which ingredients can cause a reaction?
Ftune Cream contains turmeric and sandalwood extracts along with glutathione, niacinamide, kojic acid, collagen, biotin and vitamins A, B, C and E. Of these, the ones most likely to cause a reaction are:
- Kojic acid. Can cause mild redness or tingling on some skin, more so if the skin is sensitive.
- Vitamin C and vitamin A. Can sting slightly or cause dryness when you first start.
- Niacinamide. Usually well tolerated, but a few people notice flushing.
- Turmeric and sandalwood. Natural does not mean risk-free. Some people are allergic to plant extracts.
2. What a mild reaction looks like
A slight tingle for a minute or two after applying, or a little dryness in the first week, is common with creams of this kind and often settles as your skin gets used to it. Use less, or use it every other night, until it does.
3. When to stop
Stop using the cream and wash it off if you notice redness that stays, itching, burning, swelling, or a rash. If it does not calm down in a day or two, see a dermatologist and take the jar with you so they can read the ingredient list.
4. Who should be careful
- People with very sensitive skin, eczema or rosacea.
- Anyone under treatment for a skin condition, or using prescription creams.
- Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding. Ask your doctor before starting any new cream.
- Anyone with a known allergy to turmeric, sandalwood or any ingredient on the list.
5. How to patch test
Apply a small amount to your inner arm or behind your ear. Leave it for 24 hours without washing the area. If the skin looks and feels normal, use it on your face. If not, do not use it.
6. How to lower the risk
- Use a pea-sized amount. More cream means more chance of irritation.
- Wear sunscreen every morning.
- Keep it away from your eyes, lips and any broken skin.
- Do not start several new products in the same week.
- Buy from a seller you can contact, and check the jar when it arrives. See what to check before you buy.
